BEAUTIFUL GOLDEN WATTLE
In Foundation the students were excited to begin painting. They started with a colour wash background, using large brushes and blue watercolours to create sky. The students carefully observed the wattle, its colour and shape. The students mixed green to paint the leaves. Finally they printed the yellow wattle flowers. Well done Foundation.
SEAGULLS
Love them or hate them? Seagulls are always close by at the beach. In Foundation, the students have been observing seagulls, their shape and colour. Using recycled painted paper they created waves. The using coloured paper, they made the beach. Finally they drew the shape of their seagull and added the final details using paint and oil pastels. well done Foundation, you did an amazing job.
PHILLIP ISLAND PENGUINS
Who doesn't love a penguin?
The Foundation children have been creating their very own penguin using a variety of papers. To begin with the students looked at the shape of the penguin's body, its wings and beak. The students carefully traced around a body shape, using oil pastel they coloured in the penguin. Next they cut around the body and made a tummy from newspaper. Finally they made a beak.
Well done Foundation, you worked very hard. Don't they look cute?
ICY POLES - YUM!
On a nice warm day, there is nothing better than an icy pole. In Foundation, the students have been working with paint to create some icy pole artwork. The students thoguht about flavours and colours. They practiced mixing colours and adding white to create new tints. They also created colourful prints using streamers.
