The cupcakes were made by an ex-student who now runs her own business – Ezzy’s Cake Creations – 0435 424 599

Central Coast P-TECH Mentoring Program Celebration

On Thursday 12 November Year 9 iSTEM students celebrated the 2020 Mentoring Program with Kariong Mountains High School and TLSC Tumbi Umbi Campus.

The morning was a virtual event with students and over thirty mentors celebrating opportunities for the future and the P-TECH Program as a global initiative.

Key note speakers shared their experiences as Program mentors and our students had the opportunity to share what they had learnt about themselves whilst participating in the Central Coast P-TECH Mentoring Program.

Year 9 student Julie Fabroa spoke on behalf of Henry Kendall High School.  Answering the question “What would you say to other young adults considering getting involved in the P-TECH Mentoring Program?", Julie responded:

“I would love for anyone to get involved with this program the fact that I came into iSTEM thinking I would do only stuff like hydraulics etc, and I got to be apart of P-TECH was a great inspiring opportunity for me, and I think it would be for anyone. Even if we didn’t plan to pursue a career in STEM, I think we all took something away from P-TECH that we can use in our everyday lives. So, if you get the chance to be a part of P-TECH I would strongly recommend you to give it a try.”
