KINDERGARTEN TRANSITION

We were finally able to host a visit with our 2021 Kindergarten Class. The children spent the majority of the day at big school and had lots of fun learning about their new school, playing games and joining in learning activities. Currently we have 27 Kindergarten enrolments for 2021, a smaller year than we have had for a few years. This year group has a high number of siblings already attending our school, however, we are very pleased to see a number of new families who have just moved to the area. A second transition will be held on Thursday, 19th November. The Parent Information Session is currently being organised.

REMEMBRANCE DAY

Our Primary School Leaders did a fantastic job of leading our Remembrance Day  Ceremony. All the students made poppies and placed them under the Lone Pine at 11am on the 11th day of November.

Last week we had a belated Book Week Parade. It was so nice to see the children engaged in such a fun activity. It feels like we have missed out on many of these events this year. The outfits were varied and demonstrated the love of books we all share. We thought we might be back in the Library for the event, however putting the Library back together has been a bigger task than expected. We will definitely be back in the Library in Week 7. Mrs Gavin has done an amazing job with her mobile Library trolley!

NAIDOC WEEK

This year the Primary celebrated Naidoc Week within their classrooms. Students engaged with stories, documentaries and music. A colouring-in competition culminated the activities. We are so very proud of all of our students and the pride and support they show for each other when acknowledging our past, and the important role we all play in moving towards a successful and united future.
