This week in 4B, we have been looking at mental wellbeing and the different ways to look after our brain. Through exploring what we like to do when we are not feeling well to make ourselves feel happier. We discovered many of us share the same 7 methods of looking after our mental health.

  1. Participating in mindfulness
  2. Doing things we enjoy
  3. Being physically active
  4. Listening to our body
  5. Talking to other people
  6. Going outside
  7. Spending time with others and teaching them something we know

 

Some examples of how our class look after their wellbeing are as follows:

 
Stella- how I take care of my mental well-being/health is by reading or going outside and painting a picture.

 

Bean- I stop my anger and sadness by hanging out of my friends.

 

Nathan- I like to read to calm myself and it makes my brain refreshed and healthy.

 

Alyssa- I think of positive moments (memories), I try not to focus on the negatives or things that make me upset.
