From the Front Office

CSEF - Is your family missing out?

If your family has a health care card and we don't know about it you are likely missing out on a substantial financial benefit.  Information was sent out to all families on EdSmart recently.  If you're yet to respond to that email please do so asap.  Further information on the CSEF below.

Conveyancing Subsidy - It is worth it

Please be sure to return your completed conveyancing subsidy form to the front office as soon as possible.  Late applications won't be eligible for the subsidy in term 1.  Those who have provided application forms in previous years don't need to apply again unless they have moved house or other details have changed (e.g. new student in the family, started/stopped using the bus etc).   Further info below

Victorian Conveyancing Allowance

The Department of Education and Training (the Department) provides travel assistance in the form of a conveyance allowance to help families in rural and regional Victoria with the cost of transporting their children to their nearest appropriate school/campus. The conveyance allowance is a contribution towards transport costs and is not intended to cover the full cost of transporting children to and from school. The allowance is an acknowledgement of the limited government-provided transport infrastructure available outside metropolitan Melbourne.  To be eligible for the conveyance allowance a student must reside in Victoria at least 4.8 km from school.

Application forms must be completed and returned to the school.  Those who have done this in previous years don't need to apply again unless they have moved house or other details have changed (e.g. new student in the family, started/stopped using the bus etc).   You can download and complete an application form by clicking on the appropriate link below.

NSW School Drive Subsidy

The School Drive Subsidy is administered by Transport for NSW and is available to NSW residents in areas where there is no public transport, to drive an eligible student all or part of the way to school. The subsidy is only intended to partly offset the cost of using a private vehicle to drive the eligible student and is not intended to cover all costs. The subsidy is for driving school students to school or to the nearest transport pick up point, by car, motorcycle or boat.

Any school families who are NSW residents can find more information about the subsidy and complete an online application by visiting this website.   https://apps.transport.nsw.gov.au/ssts/#/schoolDriveSubsidy
