SunSmart Hat Reminder

Friendly reminder - sun protection times have already started. This means that students will be required to wear a hat when they go outside, until the end of April.

Although it may be cold, Victoria's UV levels are high so please check the daily local sun protection times to see when you need to be SunSmart. The sun protection times are a forecast from the Bureau of Meteorology for the time of day UV levels are forecast to reach 3 or higher in your location. At these levels, sun protection (hat, clothing, sunscreen, shade and, if practical, sunglasses) is recommended for all skin types.

Sun protection times are available via:

So when outdoors, check the sun protection times and use sun protection accordingly. For more information for families please check out https://www.sunsmart.com.au/communities/parents

Partners In Learning Sessions

On Tuesday 8th March we are conducting Partners in Learning sessions online. These sessions will provide information to parents and carers about teaching, learning and wellbeing in your child’s classroom. You will receive a zoom invite prior to the event from your child’s classroom teacher. The session runs for 30 minutes, which will include a pre-recorded video and an opportunity for any questions or answers.

The times and year levels are:

Tuesday 8th March 2022

TimeYear Levels
3:45pm – 4:15pmYear 1 and 4
4:15pm – 4:45pmYear 2 and 3
4:45pm – 5:15pmYear 5 and 6

* Please note that there are no Partners in Learning sessions for Prep students as a tailored induction program for our Prep children and parents has already taken place in 2021 and at the start of this year.

We strongly recommend attending this session as it enables vital connections between school and families. We understand that some parents and carers will have children in year levels that are at the same time. Therefore the pre-recorded video of the level will be made available after this date.

Throughout this year we will providing information to all parents and carers as a part of our Partners in Learning program. This will assist you and your child(ren) in understanding our school’s approaches and ways to support them at home.

We look forward to your attendance.
