Assistant Principal

  7 & 8

Mr. Timothy Cottrell

It was such a thrill to spend time at camp with our new year sevens this week. A wonderful time was had by the students and staff who attended. Huge thanks and congratulations are due to our staff for organising a range of excellent experiences for the students, the students themselves for making full use of all opportunities presented, and to families for supporting their students to attend. A range of photos appear in this issue. Camp really commences our year from a values point of view, further immersing student in the positive culture of the college and provides opportunity for students to consolidate frienships. The alternative program a for students not attending class was also well-received and I thank all staff who participated in this program.

From one great thing to another, and as this goes to print, we are preparing to join with parents at the Year 7 Information Evening. This is another outstanding event in the junior school calendar that provides families to meet staff and share some of those important education conversations in an informal setting. I very much hope to meet and chat with as many parents as possible.

Our Discovery Expo occurs on the 15th of March, commencing at 5pm. Our Principal’s address is at 7pm. If you know of families who would like to know more about our exceptional programs, please encourage them to attend.

On the personal front, I have been appointed Acting Principal for Lalor North Secondary College commencing March 7th. I welcome the opportunity to grow further as an educational leader and look forward to my time at the college. The skills and perspectives gained from LSC and its  wonderful people will greatly assist me in this acting role.
