A Message from Hannah & Keir

We would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which our school stands. We pay our respects to all First Nations elders, past present and emerging.

Meet the Staff -

This week we would like to introduce you to our amazing office staff. These lovely people are usually the first people you meet when you call or visit BNWPS, and we would like to take a moment to celebrate how welcoming and full of beans they all are;

Audrie started working in the office at BNW in 2017. She has since progressed into a new role as our education support coordinator and plays a big part in student wellbeing. Audrie came to Australia from Ireland with her family in 2013, and this year she will become an Australian citizen. When Audrie is not working at BNW, she enjoys singing, walks with her dog Chicko and spending time with her family.

Ange joined BNWPS as a relief Business Manager in mid 2018. On our permanent team since May 2020, she brings a perspective drawn from a diverse 20 year career in Finance Management. Ange is also the proud co-owner of the fab Cherry Bomb Hair salon in Collingwood. When she gets a rare moment to relax she enjoys techno, quality times with friends, dancing the night away and lush nature get aways.

Mayii worked in hospitality for many years before taking a break to have her beautiful daughter. Mayii joined the office team in 2019 and thrives at problem solving and offering support to the kids. Mayii is a real go-getter and will try anything new. She loves outdoor activities like archery, camping, jumping out of planes and getting creative with her daughter Isobel.

Danni has come from a diverse background in customer service & travel before bringing a great energy to the BNW team in 2019. She loves live music and hitting the dancefloor with friends. Danni is a nature enthusiast with a passion for mycology and will take any opportunity to be outside hiking and exploring the countryside.

Education Forums 2022

Throughout 2022, BNWPS will be offering some community forums that will help the community to understand the way that we teach particular subjects, and why we choose to teach them in this way. Topics covered across the year will include literacy and numeracy (F-2 and 3-6), Guided play, Inquiry and our approach to Wellbeing. As with many of our forums over the past months, we will be seeking questions from our community that we can then endeavour to answer. Our first forum is coming up on Thursday 17th March, and our focus will be literacy F-2. It will take place online, so parents and carers can join from literally anywhere. Keep an eye out on Sentral for more information.

Have a wonderful week everyone.

With Kindness

Keir & Hannah
