Community and Wellbeing

Echuca Regional Health - Wellbeing and Primary Mental Health

Echuca Regional Health’s Wellbeing and Primary Mental Health Department are excited to release our group work and education timetable for Term 1, 2022 (along with individual flyers for each of the programs and groups on offer - see below). The groups include:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Community Inclusion
  • Memory & Thinking
  • Mindfulness Meditation
  • Sound Bowl Meditation
  • Bringing Up Great Kids
  • Circle of Security
  • Drumming (seeking expressions of interest)
  • Virtual Reality (seeking expressions of interest)

Offering group work reflects our department’s newly developed model of care, which aims to add to the breadth and depth of services provided by our department to meet our community mental health and wellbeing needs. The model of care outlines our commitment to offering phased service delivery in a trauma informed way, that recognises individual, family and community needs and increases the availability of resources and healthy relationships needed to support wellbeing. Later in 2022, we will be offering some topical education sessions for community on all things mental health, wellbeing and parenting.

You can click here to watch a video overview of our department, created as part of the ‘Keeping Mentally Well’ series developed by the Campaspe Murray Mental Health Network. In it, you’ll see snippets of the group work we offer within the department’s primary mental health, child and family services and inpatient programs.
