Congratulations Alexandra!

In 2021 student Alexandra Reid (now Year 10) produced a painting in the Year 9 elective, Painting and Drawing, with Mrs Rigoni. 

Her work was selected from among many excellent student art pieces, to adorn the cover of the Committee of Greater Shepparton Annual Report.

Alexandra described her work as a 'landscape of the ocean during a storm, depicting anger, sadness and loudness'. 

The Committee for Greater Shepparton chose Alexandra's art work as they felt it resonated with them, the dark storm and clouds representing a tumultuous year, for not only our region, but for all of Australia and around the world, as we fought our way through the COVID-19 pandemic. The lighter blue and white colours signal a break in the weather, indicating our emergence out of what has been a very challenging two years. The sun is starting to break through the clouds as we head into a brighter 2022!
