CSEN Results

We've had another successful term in the CSEN weekly sports competition, with both our Year 9/10 girls netball teams playing off in the grand final this week and our Year 7/8 boys basketball team doing the same. A number of our teams suffer some close losses that were hard fought all the way.

5/6 Winter Sport Round 1

Our Year 5/6 students played their first day of the winter sport competition for 2017 last week. Our mixed netball team was undefeated for the day and looks to be the favourite to progress through to the Division stages.  Our boys and girls soccer teams put in a massive effort to play three games across the day, highlighted by a hat-trick from Andrew Chen (Yr6) in the first game.  Our tee-ball teams also did very well, particularly the boys, who remain undefeated at the top of the table after Round 1.  Looking forward to Round 2 later this term!

Net2ball and Mini-Ballers

This semester has seen the launch of our new Year 2-3 after school sports program, Net2ball and Mini-Ballers.  Both the groups had over 25 students enthusiastically turn up every week and had a blast learning skills, getting physically active and learning the rules of the game.

Special thanks to coaches Jay Lomer, Vonnie Hughes, Emilie Hughes (Yr 9) and Katelyn Farmer (Yr 9) for their contribution to making the program run so well.  We particularly hope to see these clinics act as a spring board into our basketball and netball programs in the upper primary years.
