Junior School

Junior School
Term 2 has been full of some wonderful experiences for the Junior School students. The students have worked so hard and have been very diligent in their work. It is always a blessing for me at this time of the year to read all the Junior School reports and hear about the wonderful ways our students have glorified God in all they have done!
I have a couple of examples of the fun our students have done in recent week.
- Our Prep students have made racing cars with their Year 6 buddies.
- The Year 2 students have been writing some beautiful reflections on their excursion to Mount de Lancey.
- The Preps also hosted a lovely Mothers' Day morning tea.
- Year 6s teaching and encouraging our Prep students with peer writing.
We farewelled our precious Mrs Mehanni who left on maternity leave. The Junior School staff hosted a surprise baby shower for her and she was overwhelmed with gifts and love from the parent community. Thank you to everyone who blessed Lauren.
We would also love to welcome the new teacher for 3M, Mrs Melanie Lepileo. You may remember Melanie as our long serving registrar. She has since left to study teaching and returns to us to fulfil her long held passion to teach.
Have a wonderful holiday break with your families.

Sustainability in Year 2
In Sustainability this term, Year 2 students have been learning about water conservation and investigating where Melbourne's water comes from.
They’ve learned that 70% of our water is from the Yarra, starting in the Ranges and flowing through the suburbs of Melbourne and into Port Philip Bay.
