Mothers' and Fathers' Day Stall Coordinator Required
The PFA Mothers' and Fathers' Day Stalls are community events that provide a service to our children. Colin and Sonia Sires, who have been coordinating this for the last few years, are stepping down from this role. We thank them for their service.
The PFA require 1 or 2 parents to take on this role. It can be split up or managed in a way to suit you. The coordinator is responsible for buying gifts, setting up and packing up, organising parent helpers and coordinating with teachers. The coordinator needs to be thrifty and considerate in buying appropriate gifts.

School Banking App
The new CommBank Youth app is an innovative digital banking tool to help teach Australian children real-life money skills in an increasingly digital world.
With the CommBank Youth app, students can:
- Check their Youthsaver account balance
- View their School Banking deposits in the transaction history
- Track the number of Dollarmites tokens they have earned
- Set savings goals and monitor their progress
- Create a list of chores they can do to earn pocket money.
The CommBank Youth app also allows students to enter their School Banking day as a reminder.
Keep track of Dollarmites tokens for redemption
Once a student has reached 10 Dollarmites tokens, the CommBank Youth app will inform them that they're ready to redeem a reward item. Students will be directed to visit commbank.com.au/schoolbanking where the latest Rewards Card is available to download and print.
Getting started
The CommBank Youth app is now available to download from the App Store on any iOS device (version 9.0+). Please note, only one child can log on per device. The CommBank Youth app is currently not available on Android devices. To log on, students will require their NetBank client number and password. If they don’t have one, a parent/guardian can set this up by visiting a CommBank branch with identification like their driver licence and child’s birth certificate.
Managing School Banking Dollarmites Tokens
The number of Dollarmites tokens displayed in the CommBank Youth app is sourced directly from the School Banking Portal and will reflect the correct number of Dollarmites tokens earned by the student. Dollarmites tokens will be updated in the CommBank Youth app three times per day at12:15am, 8:15am and 4:15pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. Physical Dollarmites tokens are still part of the School Banking program – as the School Banking Co-ordinator you can choose whether to distribute them or not.

Entertainment Books
The 2017/18 Entertainment Books are now available from the school office for purchase (see Ms Hoenen). Only $70 and crammed with great value. A portion of each sale goes to the PFA. You can alternatively purchase a digital membership here.

Icy Pole Fridays
Every Friday students can purchase an icy pole from the kitchen, located next to the Multi-Purpose Hall. Parents and Senior School students supervise the selling of the treats.
A reminder to parents who are rostered on, to swap with someone else if you are unable to attend. Thank you to the many parents who responded to the call for helpers last week. We now have enough parent volunteers on the roster.

2nd Hand Uniform Shop
The 2nd Hand Uniform Shop is open every Wednesday morning from 8:30am-9:30am. The shop is located in Rembrandts and staffed by parent volunteers. If you can help for 2-3 weeks, please see Liz Romney at the shop or email PFA at pfa@standrews.vic.edu.au
