Girls Volleyball

On Wednesday 17th October, we went to Rushworth to compete in the interschool volleyball.

The girl’s first game was against Cobram. They got off to a great start, beating Cobram 2 sets nil. The second game was against Notre Dame. This game was much closer, and the girls had to work hard to keep the lead. In the end, the girls took out the match, 2 sets nil. Having won two out of the three games, the girls were confident going into their last game, as their volleyball skills had improved having never played before.

The last game was against Shepparton Christian College. The girls got in front with a great lead winning the first set. The second set was a lot closer, as Shepparton Christian College put their best server in to serve first. This threw a few of the girls, but they pulled themselves together and worked as a team, eventually winning 2 sets nil.

Having won all three of their games, we played the winner of Pool A, which was Wanganui. The girls went into this game with confidence, starting off the set nicely. The girls pushed in front of Wanganui winning the first set. The second set was a lot closer. The team had to work hard for the win. The score came down to match point, with one point the difference. The score went both ways a few times, with the girls eventually taking out the win!

The team are now off to Albury on Wednesday 31st October to compete in the Hume Region Volleyball. Good luck girls!
