eBooks & New Books

Goulburn Valley Regional Libraries now has access to "Living in Australia" online English courses. If you or your parent/ carer would like access to these FREE resources, ( if you are a library member,) it is available online now. 

The IELTS online resources are included for general and academic English. Members of Goulburn Valley Regional Libraries can find the link on the 'eLibrary' page of the library website- gvlibraries.com.au/elibrary in the 'learning Other Languages' section. You logon by entering your Goulburn Valley library card number and PIN and selecting 'Goulburn Valley Regional Library' from the list.

A good fantasy read, this story follows Melanie Stryder. The earth has been invaded by a species that manipulates the minds of their human hosts. Most of humanity has already subscribed but Melanie is resisting. 

Spiderwick series by Tony DiTerlizzi & Holly Black

There are five books in this series and they are clearly marked so you can read them in order. We follow the story of Jared, his twin brother, Simon and their older sister, Mallory. Together they discover that there's a magical and maybe dangerous world existing parallel to our own - the world of Faerie. There is a mysterious Field Guide left behind by their long lost great, great uncle Arthur Spiderwick. These books are short and fun to read. 

Stuff happens series 

There are four books in our collection and one eBook. Try reading these, they are easy and short. The author's name is first so you know where to find the book i.e. DAD for Andrew Daddo, who wrote the story about 'Ned', WIL for Tony Wilson, who wrote 'Jack'.

The Five Ancestors series by Jeff Stone

Book 1: Tiger; Book 2: Monkey; Book 3: Snake Book 4: Crane; Book 5: Eagle; Book 6: Mantis. Briefly, Tonglong, the mantis Kung fu master, has stolen the legendary jade armour. The five ancestors are in chaos and running out of ideas. It seems the future is bleak unless Tonglong can gain the respect of Empor's army and claim the Forbidden City. 

Reward Tickets To Redeem 

Students can receive a variety of prizes with reward tickets, given to them by their teacher. You can view a list of prizes at the new library. Come to library for prizes before school, after school or lunchtime. You can also collect one zooper dooper with 2 reward tickets at the canteen during lunchtime. Enjoy your prize responsibly.
