Future Student Registrations
If you have a child who is due to commence in the following years we would recommend that you speak to the Registrar in regards to submitting an application if you have not already done so:
- Kinder: Entry for 2020 and 2021
- Prep: Entry for 2020 (Very Urgent) and 2021 (Applications will close December, 31 2019)
- Yr 7: Entry for 2021 (Applications will close May, 31 2019)
- Entry for 2022 (Applications will close April, 30 2020)
Uniform Shop - Saturday, 2 March
Please note the Alinta Uniform Shop will be open this Saturday, March 2 , between 9.00am and 12.00pm.
2019 Annual School Fee Statements
School fees have been distributed via email to all school families over the last two weeks. If you have not received yours, please first check the SPAM folder in your email. If you still cannot find your account, please contact Liz Miko in the Finance Department at lmiko@bhcs.vic.edu.au
BHCS Community Care
We're so excited to announce that our PFA is launching 'BHCS Community Care', practical support for our families facing significant challenges.
Do you have a passion for hospitality? We'd love your help on the cooking or shopping team! We're looking at only a few hours each term, and it's a great chance to connect with some other parents too!

If you'd love to help out but are short on time, there are still plenty of ways to be involved! We're currently seeking lasagne sheets, passata, mushroom soup mix, tomato paste, canned fruit, flour, tinned tomatoes, tinned tuna and sugar or we can do the shopping for you! Please drop any non-perishable donations or monetary donations into Reception. Anything gratefully received!
School Photo Day - Tuesday, March 5
A reminder that student photo day is next week on Tuesday, March 4. Please ensure that on this day your child attends school in full summer uniform, with their school jumper. Should your child have PE on this day, they can bring their PE uniform to change into after photos.
Family photos will be taken at a later date on Monday, March 18. Should you wish to order a family photo, you will need to register by no later than 16th March by following this link: https://arphotos.typeform.com/to/HK4Zhj
Yr 10 Work Experience Placements
We are looking for work experience placements, across all industries and workplaces, for all our Yr 10 Students in June; 24-28. If you know of a workplace that could assist please contact Michelle Visser or Sarah Jolicoeur via Reception.
Past Student Advisory Panel
Our VCE students were privy to words of advice from a past students panel this past week. Sophie, Ziggy, Danni, Chelsea, Jo and Reuben took a day out to visit BHCS and share their VCE/VCAL experience. Each past student shared what they did right and what they wished they had done differently. They also spoke about their journey over the past few years with a mind to encourage, inspire and prepare students for the path ahead. We all so appreciate their willingness to take time out for our students and share their personal stories.
Common themes that cropped up, 'It goes so fast', 'I wished I worked a little harder', 'Research your career choices well', 'Take the time you need and then jump into something you are really excited about'.
