NEWS FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Families,
What another great year it has been!! On behalf of all the staff, I would like to thank you for your support but most importantly for the passion you have shown for your children and their learning. As a team, we look forward to working with your children in 2018.
Staff Announcements
As usual, this time of the year sees us farewelling some of our staff. I would like to say thank you and all the very best to the following staff members who are leaving us today:
Ashlee Dollman who has won a permanent position in the northern suburbs. This is a credit to her excellent knowledge & skills. Ash has been a highly valued member of our staff and JP team over the past 2 years and we wish her every success at her new school.
I would like to wish Simon Bowden all the best for the future. Simon has decided to finish his teaching career at the end of this year and move into other areas. Simon has put an enormous amount of energy into our school for a number of years and he will be missed.
I would also like to farewell Sophie May, Zoe West, Darby Campbell & Deb Martin and wish each of them every success.
At the same time, we have a number of new staff joining us next year.
They are: Paul Mc Annich, Cathy Grillo, Alana Caire, Georga Tyson & Jo Wiese.

Congratulations to all of them.
Year 7 Graduation
This year we had 56 Year 7’s graduate. Their graduation consisted of a cruise and dinner on the West Lakes Princess (West Lakes), followed by a formal ceremony back in the school hall. We were privileged to have the Minister for Education & Children’s Services, Susan Close as a special guest.
Special thanks to the Year 7 teachers (Tatjana Vilov & Simon Bowden, Jess Knycz, Jayne Wright & Kate Eadsforth) as well as all the other staff at Largs Bay who have contributed to the student’s education over the years. On behalf of all involved at the school, I would like to wish the students all the very best for the future.
Enjoy the Break!!

In the meantime, I would like to wish you all a wonderful break with your children and families and we look forward to seeing you all fit and healthy in 2018.
