The Flame Alight
Like most of the people in the eastern states in Australia lucky enough to have employment, we have continued to work on-line this year. We are becoming more used to this medium even though we prefer the personal contact and exchanges. Like you with your students and people you serve, we have tried to keep the programme alive and the flame of KM burning strong.
I extend the biggest thank you to each of you for staying connected with us; for supporting our formation programmes and for continuing to build the KM narrative despite the environment in which we find ourselves. We are grateful for all you do in the name of KM our Mission, Vision and our Values. We congratulate each of you, especially our leaders for finding ways to maintain real and authentic relationships with one another and staying connected to the greater good.
The recent formations for new leaders and new staff of KM were strongly attended and the resulting warmth and depth of conversation affirmed the importance of maintaining our networks online. Kathy McEvoy and Rosemary Copeland, TKM Co-chairs, attended online alongside our new staff to share their stories which have culminated in their leadership in Kildare Ministries’ Mission and Vision. As our new staff responded, it was humbling, inspiring and encouraging to hear the links being made between the new staff’s early stories of formation and those of Kathy and Rosemary. The flame of Brigid and Nano is definitely being carried forward into the future. ‘Warmest thanks to all those who tend that flame in our schools and community works.
