Principal's Report

Term 2 Report

As the semester comes to an end, it is important for our College to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments that have taken place within our community. This includes recognizing the achievements of our students, both in their academic pursuits and in their personal growth beyond the classroom.

To ensure a comprehensive understanding of their progress, it is recommended to engage in the following activities:

1. Personal Reflection: Students are encouraged to take the time to reflect on their personal development throughout the semester, considering areas of growth, challenges overcome, and lessons learned. This reflection can help them recognize their individual achievements and appreciate the journey they have undertaken.

2. Review Reports: Students, along with their carers, are encouraged to carefully review their academic reports, considering the feedback provided by their teachers in their learning tasks. By assessing their grades and comments, they can gain insights into their performance in different subjects. It is essential for them to focus not only on the final grades but also on the specific areas where they excelled or need improvement to help set future goals.

3. Exam Reflection: For many of our junior students, our exam period would have been a first-time experience for them. Students are encouraged to analyze the questions they answered correctly and the ones they struggled with. By reflecting on their exam experience, they can identify their strengths and weaknesses, enabling them to enhance their study strategies and time management skills for future exams.

4. What Went Well?: I encourage students to compile a list of their successes, both academic and non-academic, throughout the semester. This could include accomplishments such as growth in learning, completion of challenging projects, involvement in extracurricular activities, leadership roles, community service, or personal goals achieved.

By recognizing their successes, students can boost their confidence and gain a sense of pride in their accomplishments.

Overall, encouraging students to engage in personal reflection and identifying their achievements will help them appreciate their progress and celebrate their successes. This recognition and celebration will not only foster a positive academic environment but also motivate students to continue striving to achieve high expectations in their future endeavours.

Parent Contributions

The environment and resources that we enjoy today represent the contributions made by our parent/carer community over many years. Parent/carers' contributions make a significant difference to the quality of our programs. This financial support ensures that we can continue to provide an excellent range of facilities and resources for your children.

Therefore, we encourage our wonderful college community to continue to provide positive financial support for the college through parent contributions.

Kind regards,
