Principals' Message

Term Two has certainly proven to be a busy, yet rewarding one in so many different ways. Testament to the fact that Good Shepherd is a truly amazing school.
We have had a number of special events this term. If we were to list them :
- Fundraisers for Breast Cancer, Our Crazy Hair Day and our Sausage Sizzle.
- Inter-School Sport and Cross Country.
- AFL PE clinics.
- Mother's Day Stall.
- The commencement of the transition program for our 2024 Prep students.
- The Junior and Senior Concerts.
As the term draws to a close it is a wonderful opportunity to reflect with your children on their achievements this term. Whether it be academic, personal or social achievements. It is also a time to set goals for Term Three. Holidays are a perfect time to reflect and reassess.
Winter has certainly hit, with icy mornings, rain, wind and of course a range of dreaded germs. The odd sunny day has been most appreciated. Let's hope some of these sunny days appear during the school holidays.
These holidays will hopefully give us all a chance to relax, recoup and spend quality time together as families. For those heading away we wish you a wonderful time - whether it be to somewhere warmer, or whether it be a snow trip. For others who are staying home, may it be a time to enjoy being together and a chance to just unwind. Life is certainly hectic and it is important that we all make the time to allow ourselves to take a moment.
We look forward to welcoming the students back on Tuesday 11 July at the normal time of 8.40. We ask for your support during Term 3 in regard to students arriving on time. It is most disruptive to both individual students and classes when students arrive late.
On Monday 10 July our staff will be involved in Professional Development. The focus will be on First Aid.
Our warmest wishes to our whole school community. We look forward to another wonderful Term.
God Bless,
Ruth Jones and Danielle Rodgers.
