The P&F does Ball Games

Library Donations

The P&F have continued their support of the HT Junior and Senior School libraries again this year.  From funds donated by the P&F, our librarian friends Jackie and Fiona selected a range of books to the value of $500 for each of the Junior and Senior School libraries.  Their selections help ensure continuity of the invaluable service the libraries provide to the HT student community and deepen the breadth and depth of reading experiences available at HT.

Junior School Ball Games

Once again, the hardworking P&F committee assisted in making the 2019 Junior School Ball Games a great success.  Our friend Catherine Jenkins, who has coordinated the P&F sausage sizzle for the past few years, had a well earned rest  and enjoyed the full experience of the Junior School Ball Games before her youngest progresses to Middle School.  Our amazing P&F team worked seamlessly on a beautiful sunny day to feed the hordes that emerged from the Junior School gym at the conclusion of the games.  We sold out of everything and have made a note to ourselves to bump up the catering in 2020!  Overall, in the hour that followed the games we raised well in excess of $400.

STEM Centre – Quarterly Meeting

Our important P&F quarterly meeting was held for the first time in the newly-commissioned STEM Centre. We were honored that the Principal Mr Bowen, the Head of Junior School Dr McDonald and special guest, teacher Mr Greg Hellard were able to attend.  Greg spoke inspiringly of the STEM Centre's purpose to enhance student experience and optimise student success in STEM subjects.  We had the pleasure of inspecting the features of the STEM Centre and of the newly-completed, P&F sponsored aquarium and chicken enclosure.   The P&F thanked Mr Hellard and Mr Kitchingman for their collaboration in designating this as the P&F signature project from the $10,000 raised from the 2018 HT Fete profits.
