FETE - Only 3 weeks to go!

The fete is our major fundraiser for this year.  We've had a very hard-working group of parents planning the fete since last year but now they really need your help.  We are currently very short of volunteers to help on the day.  If there are any parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, family friends etc that would like to volunteer a little bit of time please go to the following link to sign up:

Some of the areas we particularly need help with include cooking the BBQ, selling food (BBQ, Hot Chips, Drinks, Icypoles etc), face painting and grade stalls.

We are also still seeking donations.  If anyone knows of any businesses that would be willing to donate prizes or vouchers for our spinning wheel we would be very grateful.  Sponsorship opportunities are also still available.  For sponsorship information please contact the school office.

Our chocolate drive for the coin toss competition was a huge success!  Thank you to everyone who sent in a block of chocolate.  We collected 368 blocks!  The grade winner was 3/4A.

Still to come:

Friday 6th March - Free dress day - we are requesting a gold coin donation please to help us purchase food and drinks.

Tuesday 10th - Friday 13th March - Lucky dip drive - please send along new unopened items that could be used for a lucky dip prize (for example Mcdonald's happy meal toys).  Once again the grade that brings in the most will win exclusive use of the playground for 20 minutes.

Tuesday 17th March - Free dress day - we are requesting a gold coin donation please to help us purchase food and drinks.

As we are dedicating so much time towards the fete we will not be having our family picnic this term.

Bikes

It is wonderful to see so many children riding bikes to school.  Just a reminder that children must wear helmets if they are riding bikes or scooters to and from school.  Also, a reminder please that parents and children must not ride bikes or scooters inside the school grounds.  Please hop off your bike and walk through the school.
