Active Travel to School
We have been a part of the Active Travel to School Process for the last 12 months and preparations have been underway for us to launch our Active Travel Program.
Wyndham Council with Active Travel have identified our key travel to school pathways and we will be initiating 'Drop and Go' points along these pathways to encourage families to drop children off away from the school and scoot, bike or walk the remaining distance to school.
What do our families and students get out of this?
We get healthier, more alert students arriving at school at the being of the day because they have had some exercise. We have a reduced traffic backlog as parents approach school to drop of their children and we have a bike and scooter area that is full of bikes and scooters and a car park that is empty!!
Further information about our Launch Day - Friday, 23rd March, will be in the newsletter next week.
Congratulations to all those who have made the effort so far to walk or ride to school. We look forward to increasing this number to at least 80%.

Easter Colouring Competition
The SRC have organised an Easter Colouring Competition. Students have until Wednesday morning to submit their entries. Prize winners will be announced on Thursday, March 29. Happy Colouring!
Grounds Development Project
Our school population is growing and accommodating all of our students during recess is a challenge. The 'paddock' has allowed a spill out of students who enjoy the wider spaces to run around.
We are going to complete some upgrade works on the paddock which will give us a turf playing field and
3 cricket training nets. The area will be out of use for 4-6 weeks while the grass takes root but after that the students will have 2 half court fields and the cricket area to play in.
We will be able to host soccer and Rugby matches as part of our inter-school competitions.
