Carlsruhe Annexe

News..

It’s been a huge week at Carlsruhe with some big events happening.

Carlsruhe Fair

As you know this Saturday is the Carlsruhe Fair. The students are very excited and can’t wait to show off their wonderful school to the community. They have been very busy cleaning the yards and the classrooms and have made many great items to be sold so we can raise money for the school. The students took part in an activity that highlighted how waste is being reduced and how we are aiming for this event to be sustainable. Thank you to all of the volunteers who have helped with this and those who are helping out on the day. It should be a great day rain, hail or shine.

Phillip Island Camp

Next Wednesday the students will be departing for our 3 day camp to Phillip Island. A reminder that the bus will be leaving at 7.45 am sharp so all students must be a school by 7.15 am. Students with medication must have this in its original packaging, in a plastic ziplock bag, labelled with instructions on how it should be taken. Please give this to Mr Splisted on the morning of departure. Students will also have the opportunity to buy some souvenirs during the camp if they wish. They are only permitted to have a maximum of $15. Please have this in a labelled envelope or wallet and handed to Mr Condon on the morning of departure also.

The weather at this stage looks quite cool so please ensure clothing for all weather conditions is packed. At this point we are expecting showers on Wednesday so please have a waterproof jacket in their hand luggage.

Wear a Mo Day

Yesterday the Junior School Council held a Wear a Mo Day to raise money for the Movember Foundation. Mr Spilsted and Mr Condon we’re delighted with the response and it was great to see all of the Year 4’s sporting some glorious moustaches. Thank you to everyone for their generous donations. If you would like to make one there’s still time. Information on how to donate can be found on the Movember page of the newsletter.

MOvember 2019

We’re into the final week of MOvember and both of us are looking forward to a much needed shave.

Yesterday the Junior School Council held a Wear a Mo Day to raise money for the MOvember Foundation. A huge thank you to Miss Geer for organising this event. We’re delighted with the response and it was great to see all of the students and staff sporting some ‘fantashetic’ moustaches. Thank you to everyone for their generous donations. If you would like to make one there’s still time. These can be made in cash directly to Mr Spilsted, Mr Condon, at the office or online at https://au.movember.com/donate and by searching Mark Condon and/or Nathan Spilsted.

We are incredibly proud of the money we have raised for a cause we are very passionate about. Thank you to the entire school community for your ongoing support. The mos will be back next year hopefully bigger and better than ever.
