School Improvement Funds

During last year, the School Council undertook a survey seeking your opinions about contributions to the School Improvement Funds (SIF). The findings gave us a clear view of issues around making payments, receiving more information about expenditure and, most importantly, in which areas you would like the money spent.

The 2020 version of the SIF will shortly be launched so keep an eye out for an information flyer that will be sent home with students in the next couple of weeks.

This year’s contributions will be channelled to the classroom/education, grounds, buildings & the library, which were the areas you identified in the survey.

Payments can now be made via Qkr and the recommended fees this year are based on a family rather than per student. When entering the ‘School Improvement Funds’ menu on Qkr you will be asked to select the number of children. The recommended fees are $140 for one child, $250 for two and $330 for three. You will then be able to pay the recommended fee or to select a different amount if that is what you wish to contribute.

If you wish to pay by instalments, the information flyer will allow you to indicate this. Simply complete your details and return to school and you will be issued with a reminder at the appropriate times. When an instalment is due this can again by done via Qkr by entering the amount you wish to pay.

Payments to the building and library funds are tax deductible so if you wish to take advantage of this please indicate in the area provided on Qkr and a receipt will be issued.

A summary of where the contributions have been spent will be provided at the end of the year

Finally, whilst contributions to the SIF are voluntary, they are vital to the ongoing maintenance and improvement of our school.
