Interschool Sport
Beaumaris SC will be participating in School Sport Victoria's Beachside Division in 2018. We will be competing against Mac.Robertson Girls', Melbourne High, Elwood College, Albert Park College, Mentone Girls' Secondary and Cheltenham Secondary College. Our Term One Round-Robin will be held this Thursday March 22nd where we will be fielding teams in cricket, baseball, softball, tennis, volleyball and ultimate frisbee. We thank-all students who have tried out for the various teams. We will have approximately 110 students representing Beaumaris SC on the day! Thank you to all families who have approved their child's participation through the COMPASS portal. Can any families yet to do so, please login to COMPASS to grant approval to participate in what will be a wonderful day.

Run for the Kids- Sunday March 18th
It was fantastic to have a small, but enthusiastic contingent represent Beaumaris SC teams in the annual Run for the Kids; an important fundraiser for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. North Melbourne Football Club captain , Jack Ziebell was also very excited to be an honorary member of the Beaumaris SC team on the day!
FOOTY COLOURS DAY- Friday 23rd March
On Friday the 23rd of March, Beaumaris Secondary College will have their first Footy Colours Day to help raise money for the Fight Cancer Foundation.
Students are encouraged to wear their favourite team's guernsey/jersey or colours, and donate a gold coin to the foundation.
Footy Colours Day was established in 1995 to help fund Fight Cancer Foundation then Bone Marrow Donor Institute's programs, including the establishment of the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry.
Since 2005, funds raised through Footy Colours Day have helped young learners continue with their education while receiving treatment for cancer.
Beachside Divisional Swimming Championships
Our inaugural Beaumaris SC swimming team did a fantastic job of of competing at the recent Beachside Divisional Championships. Students represented our school with distinction both in and out of the school. In a very competitive race, our girls 4x 50m Freestyle relay finished a very creditible 3rd. The team consisted of Aimee Farrow, Chloe Johnson, Alice Tedstone and Olivia de Zeeuw. Our boys 4x 50m Freestyle relay teamed well for a closely fought victory and will now head to the Southern Metropolitan finals at the Melbourne Sport and Aquatic Centre on Wednesday March 28th. The team was Alex Hopkins, James Pepper, Spencer Marshall and Charlie Bruce. Charlie will also compete in the 50m butterfly after a strong win on the day. A special thanks to- Margot Worthy and OJ Thapa who did such a wonderful job as assistants on the day.
COLES Sports for Schools
Thank you to all families who have been able tosupport the COLES Sports for School program by sending in vouchers to the College. We are looking forward to redeeming some fantastic sports equipment. The promotion is ending soon on Tuesday April 3rd. Vouchers can be dropped off at our Administration Office.
