Fit 2 Drive

75% of all road accidents occur on country roads, this is a shocking but very real statistic. On Tuesday all senior school students were involved in a Fit2Drive course. The aim was to remind our young drivers of the risks involved when driving a vehicle. The sessions were a mixture of whole group activities presented in the PAC and break-out group sessions in classrooms. Students studied past road accidents and statistics,  heard information from Victoria Police and brainstormed ways they could avoid dangerous situations. They also actively worked out ways to inform their peers of the dangers a young driver may face, such as the temptation to drink drive, hoon or overload. The sessions were both informative and relevant and left students with active strategies to support them with their driving.
