Knox Women on the Go Expo and Forum
Hayley Mann of Year 11, was a guest of Bendigo Bank at the Knox Women on the Go Breakfast. Hayley spoke of her experiences at the Magic Moments Leadership Camp and the impact that the camp had on her personally. The Bendigo Bank had sponsored Hayley and two other students from the college to attend the camp in July 2014. After Hayley had answered questions from Natalie Goold, of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, about her experiences and achievements, everyone enjoyed a delicious breakfast and networked with the fellow diners at their table. Hayley was fortunate to be at a table with; the Regional Manager of Bendigo Bank Mark Nolan , Natalie Goold, Tony Justice the Coordinator Knox Youth Services, the Major of Knox Cr Peter Lockward, and the two guest speakers; Karen Main, Life Leadership Coach and Trish Chapallza, Co-Founder/Owner of Solar 4 RVS. The two guest speakers then spoke of their personal journeys to become the successful business women they are today. Both speakers spoke from the heart and had a wealth of information, knowledge and experiences to share with the participants. They were excellent role models for everyone in the room, and in particular for Hayley.
The feedback about Hayley and Natalie’s session from the organizers, the guest speakers and other guests was very positive. Hayley spoke with confidence and I was very proud to sit in the audience and listen to her story. As one of the organizers stated to me when she was singing Hayley’s praises, “It is great to know that the future of Australia is safe hands when we listen to young people like Hayley”
A big thank you to Bendigo Bank Bayswater for sponsoring the students and for providing Hayley with the opportunity to share her experiences and to listen to the journeys and experiences of successful women at the Women on the Go Breakfast.
