Our Catholic Community

Harmony Day and the Great Caritas Cut

On Friday the 20th of March, it was wonderful to see the number to students wearing orange as a school community, coming together in harmony and raising money for Caritas' Project Compassion. Sadly, social distancing regulations prevented students to cutting Mrs Davison's Hair... Donations were made and the hair was cut and donated to make a wig (or two).

Thanks to our generous community in these tricky times.

Our Mini Vinnies crew kicked off St Philomena's Project Compassion Lenten Appeal by selling pancakes. We are reaching out to our community to support the work of Caritas Australia by giving generously to our fundraising appeals.

Students from K-10 have been given a donation box. We are asking for students and families to give generously by placing small spare change in the boxes and returning them to school at the end of Term 1.

Free Hat Fridays during Lent

Free Hat Fridays is an initiative from our Mini Vinnies chapter to boost our Lenten fundraising in support of Project Compassion.

We are inviting students from K-10 to wear their own hat in exchange for a gold coin donation on Fridays during Lent. Students who are wishing to wear their own hat will make their donation at the beginning of the day and receive a stamp on their hand as receipt of their donation.
