Year 12 University applicants and early entry schemes
Last week the first fortnightly talk was held about the Charles Stuart Advantage early entry scheme which is now open. Approximately 30 students attended and heard about the scheme, what they need to do if they wish to apply and tips to help them.
Students and opportunities
A wonderful experience which is offered to two students each year is to attend Taronga Zoo in Sydney and Western Plains Zoo. This week Amy Nawer (Year 12) is currently at Taronga Zoo in Sydney in the Marine Division. We look forward to hearing about her experiences when she returns. Interested students are asked to look out for the chance to apply later this year in Term 4 r for 2023. Only two can be selected from those who apply.
Work Experience in 2022
The school’s current guidelines, the application process and procedures involved are all outlined on the Work Experience page on the school’s Careers @ McCarthy website. The insurance documents for 2022 have not yet been received and work experience can commence once they have arrived. We are also subject to any changes implemented due to Covid 19 and there are some restrictions. More information will be provided to students and parents in coming weeks.
