School Swimming Carnival

Swimming Carnival Report written by Ava Dakin & Olivia Micallef.

On Friday 11th February Sacred Heart Primary School had our swimming carnival at the Corryong pool. At 9:30 the Year 6 - 2’s excitedly walked to the pool to compete in their races:  freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and Iron Man/Woman.  These were followed by a ‘free-swim.’ The half pool races were next with students participating in half a lap of the swimming strokes. At around 11:00 the Foundation and Yr 1 students joined us.  They enjoyed swimming races in the medium pool with help from the awesome School Leaders. We all had a great time at the Carnival and everyone enjoyed their time there trying their very best. Overall, the School House with the most points was George (RED) house.  We would like to thanks all the Teachers, especially Ms. Tina Keyzer for organising the Carnival. All Teachers and LSO’s made the event the successful day that it was. We would like to acknowledge the 4 students who made the times to attend Zone Swimming this Friday. Well done to Amy, Neve. Chloe and Ava! We wish them well at Zone as they swim in their event and also in a Relay Race representing our school as a team. Thank you once again to all staff and students who participated in the Sacred Heart Swimming Carnival for 2022.
