College and District Swimming Carnival Updates

Due to our current COVID restrictions, we were unable to hold the Years 5-12 swimming carnival today as planned.

To allow students an opportunity to qualify for the Campaspe Swimming Carnivals we will be holding a qualification event for those students who wish to try, on Wednesday 23rd February.

Any students who wish to qualify for the events will be invited to fill out a form to sign up for the different swimming events. Only students who are competent swimmers and are able to swim 50m non-stop in the elected stroke should sign up.

Students will attend for part of the day within their specific year levels.

If a student successfully qualifies they will attend the Campaspe Carnival in Echuca:

  • For Years 5 and 6 students, this is the following day on Thursday 24th February
  • For Years 7-12 students, this event is on Tuesday 1st March

We will still be holding a revised Years 5-12 House Swimming Carnival in March for all students to come along and participate. This will include our regular swimming events as well as our modified and novelty events. Students will have the opportunity to compete for house points and be awarded age group champions.

KGI REAL Program

Dear KGI Family and Friends,

We are excited to be back running our programs and can't wait to travel to all our deadly communities this year. We know it hasn't been the best start to the year with COVID-19, but we are doing all we can to ensure our young people get back together and start connecting with each other again.

With this, we would like to remind you about our Years 7 & 8 programs which will commence this week and run its course over February and March. We have an exciting schedule that will centre on leadership, wellbeing and culture and will involve fun activities and games that will get our young people thinking about their own leadership journey!

PLEASE NOTE: Our programming on Sunday will look a little different - here we will be organising a family/community friendly event in your location, where our young people can meet and greet other members from the community! So please put these dates in your calendar, and bring along your young ones, your aunties and uncles, your organisation and of course your elders - more info to come.

We would love to see as many young mobs (Years 7 &  8) at our programs, so please get your mob registered as soon as possible.

* Food and drinks will be provided along with KGI/RFC goodies.

Please share with your community members and don't hesitate to get in contact if you have any further questions. We look forward to seeing all your deadly faces soon.
