Why we all need to read

“Education provider Gemm Learning says children who have the ability to find the words they want to use are more likely to have a strong self-image, sense of confidence and higher academic standing. Also, well-read kids are more likely to attempt to formulate their thoughts before becoming angry or demonstrative.”

Library Bags for Foundation to Year 2 Students

Why do F-2 students need a library bag? Having a library bag helps students remember the books they take home so that they can return them the following week. It is also really important for keeping the books safe and protected from damage. The bag helps them become more responsible for their things. This is an important skill as they get older.

Research tells us the value of reading to our children. You could check in with your child or the teacher to see when they have Library. Ask your child what they have borrowed. Read with them. They love telling us about who is reading to them at home. It has a big impact.
