The Healthy Habit for the next two weeks is SELF- DISCIPLINE. Having self-discipline means you think about your words and actions, and then make choices that are right for you and others. It involves thinking before you act and making good choices, being in control of your words, actions and impulses, and demonstrating hard work and commitment to purpose.

Self-discipline looks and sounds like:

  • “May I please get a drink?”
  • Following school and classroom rules
  • Setting a goal and sticking to it
  • “I’d better not……….”
  • Stop, think then act
  • Being in charge of your thoughts and actions
  • “No thank you.”
  • Staying on task and finishing work
