Enviromental Science
In year 11 Environmental Science we are currently investigating food security. As part of this we have been looking at the difference between organic and conventional farming and which is better for the environment, while also producing enough food for the world’s growing population.
The class has set up two vegie gardens to investigate which type of farming grows food the fastest (i.e. increases the yield). We have two vegie gardens, one with conventional fertiliser and one with organic. Every lesson we will measure the plants (some of which have names) and see which ones grow the most. Stay tuned in a few weeks for the results!
