Marist Shark Tank

It was a great experience for all Year 8 Commerce students on Wednesday 16 June. We were privileged to have Marist Old Boy entrepreneurs come to the College and judge our Shark Tank pitches. Four finalist teams put their ideas in front of the Marist Shark Tank and in return, received a lot of great advice and knowledge. It was great listening to all the different pitches, and it was a fun time for all the boys to share their own ideas and in return get some advice from some professional businessmen. Speaking out in front of the judges and the hundred boys watching was nerve-racking, to say the least. However, it was a memorable learning experience for all the young entrepreneurs. We would like to thank and acknowledge our judges who donated their time to judge the event and answer our questions on entrepreneurship. Many thanks to Steve McAuliffe, Anthony Collins, Dan Murray and Paul Betti for supporting the event along with Grill’d for prize donations.

Also, many thanks to our teachers Ms Armitage, Ms Webster and Mr Aplin.
