Chu Sensei and I are very excited to share that the 2021 Modern Languages Teachers Association of Queensland (MLTAQ) have announced the 2021 BRISBANE SECONDARY LANGUAGES SPEECH CONTEST, which will go ahead this year on Sunday 1 August 2021 at Griffith University, Nathan Campus.  And the PRIMARY LANGUAGES SPEECH CONTEXT, which will also be at Griffith University, Nathan Campus on Sunday 12 September 2021.

If you are a Marist student studying or have studied Japanese this Semester, or if you will study Japanese next Semester, or if you are in Years 5-7 and haven’t studied Japanese yet at MCA, but have studied it at a previous school, you are more than welcome to apply.   

The $5.00 registration fee will be paid for by MCA on your behalf and topics and speech templates will be provided to entrants.  Only four students from Japanese from each year will be eligible to register. Registrations close with MLTAQ on Friday 16 July 2021, so be first in to secure your spot! (Ideally, Chu Sensei and I would like to have our numbers secured very soon).
