We’re Back!

Thank you to our school community for their support with Remote Learning over Lockdown 5.0.  It’s been wonderful to see our students in person this week with their smiling faces and straight back into learning.

Our Senior School students have been learning about debating. I enjoyed sitting in and listening to their reasoning as they debated a range of topics from ‘Pepsi is Better than Coke’ to ‘students shouldn’t have to wear uniform to school’.  This was the introductory lesson as students work towards having a more formal debate in the coming weeks.

Our Prep students are learning all about ‘The Farm’ and this week have been writing information texts all about sheep. They thought about all the things that sheep can do, things that sheep have and how they behave.

Book Week

As part of our Book Week celebrations, we will have a dress up day on Monday August 23rd (week 7).  Students can come dressed as a favourite book character or in something related to this year's theme 'Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds'.

We will also be holding a Great Book Swap to raise money for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.  More information about this event will be coming in the next week.  For now, please hold on to any good-quality books you have (but no longer need).  We will be calling for donations of second-hand books soon!

Students will also have the opportunity to play ‘Guess the Teacher Behind the Book’. Here is a sneak peak!
