We’re Back – Again!

On Tuesday we welcomed the news that we were returning to onsite learning following Remote Learning 5.

Once again all I can report is positive feedback about our school’s Remote Learning program, and the community’s ability to pivot back to onsite learning. I am in constant admiration of our students, who are able to transition from one to the other in near seamless fashion.  I attribute this to the school’s long-standing focus on resilience and positive disposition.  To that point, I acknowledge the families and staff for the role you play supporting our most prized possessions – our kids!

We are also extremely lucky to have some families who have gone above and beyond in support of our staff.  Today, mum Stacey and students Tahlia SDB and Zoey MFP presented the staff with an awesome platter of sweet treats, specially designed in Olympic colours - very yummy, very special and very much appreciated (see banner pic)!

COVID-19 Vaccinations for Education Sector employees

It was pleasing for our staffing community to hear of the State Government’s advancement in the rollout of COVID-19 Vaccinations for education sector employees.

Eligibility now extends to education staff directly working with students receiving either National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or Program for Students with Disabilities (PSD) supports.

With this news and accompanying individual action comes the hope that schools are not only more protected but one step closer to permanently remaining onsite.

Parent/Carer/Guardian Opinion Survey

Last week I shared that all Victorian Government Schools are currently seeking feedback by The Department of Education and Training’s annual Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey.

The survey only takes 20 minutes to complete and can be accessed on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, or smartphones.

Please head to Compass for access instructions.

Prep Enrolments

Applications for Prep 2022 are now closed. I can proudly report that the school was once again overwhelmed with applications and had to enact The Department’s Priority Order of Placement Policy to manage our student numbers.

If you are in the ‘designated neighbourhood zone’, or have a sibling of a current student and have not submitted an application please contact me immediately to discuss your options for enrolment in 2022.
