Readers Workshop

In 4/5 J this year we learn all about Reading through our Readers Workshop each day between 9am – 10am. Here are some quotes from our class members about the Reader’s Workshop.

“The first part of our Reader’s workshop is to discuss the Learning Intention and Success Criteria. Here we talk about what it is we are aiming to learn” - Jacinta Holmes.

“In Part 2 Mr Jenner leads the mini lesson. Here we focus on our reading strategy and we look at examples” – Charlie Hodge.

We have also learnt about Cause and Effect. Here we have learnt that cause happens first and then there is a consequence (an effect). E.g. My alarm didn’t work (cause) so I was late for school (effect).
