Stage 6

Stage 6 Update

Welcome back Stage 6 - it is great to return to face-to-face learning! We are still working on a safe practice wherever we can with students, staff and other adults. Much cleaning and signage are reminders to students and staff of the need to continue to be careful - washing hands regularly using the sanitiser provided in each classroom and practicing social distancing especially in the office spaces. Please assist us with reminders about this at home.

At the moment we are not able to have year or stage assemblies and so we are meeting as Crew groups at 8.50 am every morning. It  is important that all students attend the start of the day with their crew teacher because this is where information is being distributed. It is the main place where we catch up with students, and Crew teachers help monitor well-being concerns too. Please encourage  your senior student to be at school on time.

Year 12 returned to school to receive their Year 12 jerseys. It is great to see so many of our students wearing their jerseys and being in school uniform. It really promotes a sense of community.

Could I please encourage all students in Year 11 to also wear our uniform – even on cold days? There are lots of acceptable variations, and we are always happy to assist students to get into uniform.

Its always a pleasure to work with our senior students – please don’t hesitate to contact me  or Mr Vaughan if you have any concerns or questions.

Stage 6 Reports

Year 12 families should have now received the Semester 1 reports through the school parent portal. It was a pleasure to read these reports as many students are working well to achieve their goals.

We  are now more than halfway through Year 12 study , and I urge all our students to keep engaging in the extensive study program we offer through The Hub. We have set up a Google Classroom to share study skills and tips.  Please sign up for it if you haven’t already done so (the code is 6wsjj6a).

Year 11 reports will soon be finalised; but in a briefer form than in the past. This reflects the disrupted learning environment we have experienced this year.
