What's Happening in Physical Education?

The Argus Community

The Xenica Community

The Achilles Community

The Achilles Community have been practising their strike in the invasion game of Hockey. They have been learning the fundamentals of hockey safety and the correct positioning of holding the hockey stick.

The Ulysses Community

The Ulysses Community have been using their fundamental movement skills in the net/wall game of Volleyball. They have been practising to move into space, communicate with their team mates and use  a variety of different techniques to defend a point being made.

National Health and Physical Education Day

On the last day of term 3, we celebrated Health and Physical Education day. We had a junior school round robin in the morning and after lunch had the middle and senior school round robin. We ended the term announcing the results that were accumulated for participation, good sportsmanship, teamwork and achievement.

Congratulations to all our students for having a go. Thank you to our Ulysses community and some representatives of our Achilles community for helping to score for our junior round robins. A big congratulations to Evans yellow house for getting the biggest score and winning the house sport competition.

Our whole school community got on board in wearing their favourite AFL team colours. Go Richmond!

School Colour Fun Run

On Friday the 22nd of November, we will be having our very first colour run. If you haven't already, please make an online fundraising profile for your child so that you can get as many as your family and friends donating. Copy and paste the url and all they need to do is click donate and fill in their details. Its that simple. Alternatively, orange brochures went home recently for cash donations. If you have any cash donations, please bring them to the office with your child's name on there. Any child that raises more than $10 will receive a prize.

All children are to wear a white plain t-shirt as the intent of the colour run is to have lots of fun and be covered in lots of colour! A note regarding this will go home shortly.

Sun Smart

Please remember in term 1 and 4, all students need to be wearing a hat.

Water Safety

Now that it is beginning to get warmer again, we need to remember to keep water safe.

Don't swim unless the pool water is safe.

Don't swim unless an adult is at home and close by, and who can see you.

No jumping into the pool if anyone else is in there.

No diving.

Don't sit on the filter.

‘Say no to phones’ when adults are supervising the children swimming

Swim between the yellow and red flags (at the beach)

Wear life jackets when on a boat/canoe

No running around the pool deck

HAVE FUN!!!
