Physical Education 2020
Students this year at Mullum will partake in a Physical Education lesson with Fiona Pumpa each week. These lessons will run on a Monday or Tuesday. Students need to bring a filled water bottle (water only as sticky drinks attract bees and wasps) and wear their school hat. If you have a child that is unable to participate due to illness or injury please send a note, or email before the start of the day, providing details and they will be given a modified program.
Ringwood District Swimming Carnival 2020
Monday 17 February
Tintern Grammar School
12pm to 2.15pm approx.
The Ringwood District Swimming Carnival is for qualifying 9 to 13 year olds from Mullum and schools in our Sporting District. A child’s age group is determined by how old they turn this year. For example, if they turn 10 in December 2020, they are in the 10 year old age group for 2020. 9 year olds will swim in the 10 year old age group.
Qualifying students will swim in individual or team races for the strokes they qualify for. The events are:
- 50m individual freestyle
- 50m individual backstroke
- 50m individual breaststroke
- 50m individual butterfly
- 4x50m medley relay (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle) and
- 4x50m freestyle relay.
Each qualifying child is permitted to enter two individual events, one freestyle relay and one medley relay. Mrs Pumpa will put relay teams together. Each school is allowed to enter one boys/mixed and one girls medley relay team. The medley relay is an ‘open’ age event.
To qualify, parents/guardians need to time their child/ren and email via Compass times to Mrs Pumpa before Thursday 14th February. If a child’s time/s are within the below table then students will qualify for the event. Mrs Pumpa will notify students and their parents/guardians via email of events and race program.
Parents/Guardians need to transport and supervise their child/ren at the carnival; or organize a friend/family member to do this.

50m Freestyle | Up to 55 secs |
50m Backstroke | Up to 60 secs |
