Sports Update

POLDING CROSS COUNTRY

Best wishes to Aila McBain, Fletcher Barratt, Bobby Chard, Patrick Wright, Danika Elliott and Mary Arandale who will compete at the Polding Cross Country Championships at Eastern Creek today. The children have been training hard to be able to perform at their best. Good luck children. I’m sure you will do yourselves and St Joseph’s proud.

At the time the newsletter was printed there were two terrific results from our students:

*Aila McBain ran a strong run and finished mid field of her age group! Great effort Aila

*Fletcher Barratt finished 5th in his race and has now qualified in the Polding team to compete at NSWPSSA carnival. Amazing effort Fletcher!!

*Mary Arandale also placed 5th and has also qualified for the Polding team to compete at NSWPSSA carnival. Also an amazing effort Mary.

*Danika came 12th in her race which is a wonderful effort also! Well done Danika.

*Patrick and Bobby are still waiting to run so their results will be on Facebook this afternoon. Good Luck to them.

GALA DAY POSTPONED!

The school received an email today advising us that Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council have made the difficult decision to postpone Gala Day due to the extreme weather conditions around the Diocese and field closures in Inverell. Please see the letter on the Notes/Forms page of this newsletter, from Heidi Hardaker for more information.

A new date has been set for September 3rd, 2021. We apologise for the inconvenience but we have no control over the weather.

Thank you to all the parents that have been attending the school for training. We appreciate your efforts.

More information will be relayed to you when we have it.
