Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation
We are currently preparing our students who are to make their Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation. Last week we met with Father Gleeson and had our parent information session. If you have a child who is eligible to make their First Holy Communion or Confirmation, please contact me at the school if you haven't already. Once you have contacted me I can send home the enrolment form and information slip (or hopefully the link works below). Can all enrolment forms be returned to me at school.
In preparation for these Sacraments, Father is holding 3 Catechesis sessions in conjunction with Sunday Mass on the 20th June, 18th July, 25 July and 1st August. To be able to celebrate the Sacrament, children must attend three out of four of these Catechesis sessions. At home parents are to also complete the Sacrament booklet supplied by Father Gleeson (cost of $15 payable to the front office). You will not be issued with a booklet until money has been paid. Once both of these parts are complete we can celebrate the Sacraments in the Church throughout August. Date is negotiable with Father Gleeson (groups or individual, depending on family commitments).
At school we are continuing to prepare your students through Religious Education lessons in line with the Church's teaching. This is the the part of the preparation for students.
