Team Leader's Message

Term 2

It has been a wonderful term filled with great learning and new experiences for all students across the Secondary 7/8 Section. I continue to be impressed by our students who demonstrate dedication, adaptability and positivity in their approach to school life.

 We have yet again had a period of remote and flexible learning where students transitioned to online learning with a sense of ease and calm. It was great to see the engagement and participation of students during the daily WebEx sessions and they should be commended for their continued commitment to their learning.

We were lucky enough to be able to head off to camp this year. Our Year 7s enjoyed the adventurous activities at Campaspe Downs Camp, while the Year 8s were challenged by the exciting and exhilarating activities at The Summit Camp.

All students demonstrated a level of courage and bravery throughout the camp and enjoyed spending time with their friends in a new and exciting setting. Particular highlights for me were canoeing and the giant swing with the Year 7s, as well as abseiling and a night walk with the Year 8 students. 

This term we have had a large number of students present at our 7/8 Morning Line-Up as well at our weekly Section Assemblies. These opportunities provide a platform for students to develop their public speaking skills and self-confidence when presenting to a large group. I would like to congratulate those students who volunteered and commend them for pushing themselves out of their comfort zone.
