Kids Corner
The “Kids’ Corner” section of our school newsletter provides the opportunity for the children to showcase their talents or communicate something special. This week we have pieces from children in Year 4 and 5:
Colour Poems – Year 4’s:
Adam – The Emotions of Green:
Green can mean fire and a blaze
Or disgusting vomit or a daze.
Annoyance, anger, calm or surprise or perhaps
Sad, displeased anger with lies!
Logan – BLACK!
Black is an internal rage – hatred far down!
It is deep – Minecraft void in the end!
Black is the dard side of the moon
Not the silver side like a spoon.
Spiders are black with poisonous fury!
The abys is similar to space in many ways,
They are black and seemingly never ending!
Black cannot truly leave because it is a truly negative feeling
Which is combined with hate and stirred with shadows of darkness.
Any feeling is better than black
Black swallows all, no happiness remains.
Don’t be negative or it will come
So my advice is to stay happy!
Thien (Year 5) – The Disaster!
Joe and some Polish marine started off in Massachusetts in a town called Revere. Joe’s mum yelled “WEAR YOUR SEATBELT JOE!” Joe said “Adios” and drove off in their Ford Focus from his driveway. Joe’s mum started following on foot Joe said “GO HOME, GO TO SLEEP” when he saw her.
Joe sat on the passenger side seat, playing on his mobile phone. Thirty minutes later they stopped for gas. Joe opened the trunk and Polish Marine came from nowhere and pushed Joe into the trunk. Next he closed the hatch / trunk and started to drive. Joe found a lever to open the trunk from the inside. Polish marine pulled over and came to close the trunk at the time he saw Joe crawling out. Joe was quick and pushed him in there and closed the trunk. Joe next drove off, Polish Marine started to scream “JOE!!” Poor marine had to wait until he can get out of the trunk. Joe finally reached the Polish bakery in The Bronx NYC. He opened the trunk to let Polish marine out.
After they loaded their car they drove to Connecticut. Joe crashed their car and ran away to a used car dealership. They next brought a Ram 1500 TRX. After that they continued while going 189kmh (118 Mph). They arrived there in just forty five minutes. They quickly took Polish stuff out. After that they went home in just 2 hours going 189kmh (118 Mph) again, and crashed it right into their house and caught on fire. They had to call the fire department. Within few minutes, a light plane and a helicopter crashed right into their house.
Joe just casually walked into the house to retrieve his PC and few other things, and then ran outside. With a loud noise, a huge commercial aircraft crashed into the house igniting another house fire. Their neighbours ran outside quickly. Joe screamed “NOOOOOOO!” For no reason 6 fighter jets crashed into their house igniting a wildfire. There was black smog literally everywhere. Nearly 206 firetrucks have been called in. The fire got so bad, it spread to the coastline of Maine also and managed to get up to New Brunswick, Canada. They had to buy a plane ticket to Montreal - Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport. It was America’s worst wildfire in history.
