Welcome back to school! I'm sure everyone is happy to have to students back onsite and we look forward to these last two weeks of the school term. Term ends at 1pm on Friday 25th June.
Thank you to our staff for the way they move between face to face and remote learning. It is far from ideal and we know it can be very challenging at home. Thank you also to our families and students for managing during the lockdown. We will survey parents about remote learning soon to gain some feedback for improvement in case we are facing lockdowns in the future.
(Week 10)
Parent teacher meetings will be held on Wednesday 23rd June between approx 12pm and 8pm. Bookings will be available via Operoo that you should have received yesterday. The format will be parent and teacher (no student conferencing). Google Meets are available as an option.
If you also have a PSG - the parent teacher meeting can be optional for you.
We will be in contact very soon to book your times for PSGs if required. If there are siblings we will try and group these meetings together for your convenience.
Cathy and Melinda will organise bookings where parents and teachers will review goals and adjustments that are being made to support the learning.
You would have received an Operoo and survey regarding the Wednesday morning Martial Arts club. The proposal is classes before school from 8am - 8.45am. Please check the Operoo for details and cost.
Beachside Cross Country is postponed until further notice (possibly the last week of term).
Mini Maestros on Saturdays
Contact Julia if you are interested
No parents Cheese and Wine unfortunately this term due to the restrictions on schools...but the disco can go ahead....
On Friday 18th from 5 - 6.30pm we have a Silent Disco for students in the school hall. More details will be coming from the P&F.
If you'd be keen to gather with some of the current and past gents from St Joseph's, then please come along from 7pm on Friday 18 June at the Black Rock Sports Club (which you may also know as the Black Rock Bowling & Tennis Club).
The night will be super relaxed, with a bunch of ruggedly handsome gents gathering to share a few whiskeys or beers or shandies or lemonades and regaling one another with stories of wonder and woe.
