School Captains 2021

The brief return to Remote Learning was just a hiccup for the SRC - our team is dynamic and motivated, so it did not let let a lockdown get in its way.  The subcommittees continue to work hard on their projects, and the subcommittee system is proving to be a popular and constructive framework for all involved.

We take this opportunity to thank all of the student Executive and SRC members for the strong work ethic,  positive attitude and enthusiasm that they continue to bring to the table.

HOUSE COMMITTEE

The house committee talked about House Points allocation for different reasons, such as competitions in classrooms. We also discussed the possibility of a Home Group trivia and the logistics of a video advertisement for Houses.

The Logo Design Committee has met and shortlisted animals that will be featured on each House Logo. The subcommittee plans to get a form approved to be sent out, allowing students to choose the animal of their preference.

STUDENT AGENCY COMMITTEE

The Student Agency Committee brainstormed  some ideas to gain more student feedback. We then joined in with the STEM x Sustainability Committee to collaborate for their soft plastics recycling video.

TWILIGHT MARKET COMMITTEE

The Twilight Market Committee has finalised the food trucks that will be joining the market this year .  We won't spoil the surprise - but we promise there are some DELICIOUS options! The team has also reviewed some of the poster designs and planned their meeting schedule.

STEM X SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE

The STEM X Sustainability Committee is excited to launch a series of sustainability initiatives to mark Plastic Free July, including a soft plastics recycling scheme which you will hear more about earlier next term.

The Committee is in communication with Sustainability Club who have been very busy at work on many new initiatives, including a return of the popular Beeswax Wrap Workshop project. The committee is also working on a video celebrating sustainability at our school. Lastly, they are organising a series of activities that will be open to all students during Science Week.
