Senior School News
Hello RHS community.
Let me first introduce myself – my name is Andrew Lewis and I am the new Senior School Manager and am thrilled to be working with such an incredible cohort of eager students and dedicated staff. I am looking forward to the year ahead as we make lifelong memories and kick academic goals.
Students have settled back into their classes. The SACs have already begun to pile up and most importantly – the Year 12 jackets look fantastic.
From an academic viewpoint, our Year 11s enjoyed their first Elevate session - ‘Study Sensei’ where they focused on how to “learn, master and create” in and out of the classroom to improve their results. Students enjoyed getting some practical advice on how to study effectively and learn new techniques to improve their memory.
Students have also been involved in a variety of educational and engaging activities were ran in conjunction with the school nurse which is just the beginning of a strong partnership between the Senior School and Wellbeing teams.
In what our Year 12s deem the most important news, our ‘Formal Committee’ has already been established and has begun planning the social event of the year. Further information will be available closer to the date. So ladies and gentlemen get your outfits sorted for one of the best nights of the year.
Finally, our Senior School shone brightly at the first full school assembly. The school captains were officially introduced, and we had some incredible performances from two breathtakingly talented performers. Huge shout outs go to Amelie for her gifted original song performance and Mia for her moving dance routine.
I hope everyone has a fantastic and rewarding month and we will be back with some more updates from the Senior School team soon.
